Wet Wet and more Wet

Hi Everyone,

Well we have had more rain, more than enough, which made it impossible to fix the awning last weekend.
But good news is that the leaks where the awning is attached to the caravan have now stopped so that is plus.

Because of the rain we have not ventured out much, but we did find a place near Agnes Water some time ago.
Bustard Beach is in the Eurimbula Natural Park. The road into the beach is for 4wd only, we went in just after all the floods around Bundaberg. The road starts off very good, but after 15 - 20 minutes the road narrows and becomes like a jungle, very thick. Finally we arrived at the camping grounds and the beach.Very isolated and looks like a great spot for fishermen with their tinny.

The road into the national park
a shelter provided for a picnic
Bustard Beach
Toilets are provided also
TIP OF THE WEEK:

We had to buy more tent pegs when we put up the bigger tarp. I bought big yellow plastic ones.
thinking they would be better, but I soon found out that with all the rain we have been having, they are useless.
all but one pulled out of the ground and I had to buy steel ones to replace them. Make note when purchasing pegs.
happy travels, be safe on the roads,
Cheers
