Merry Christmas Everyone

Well its that time of year again, I have now finished work for the year and return on the 10th January.
We are on the road but without the van. We packed up the tarps and annex while they were dry, so that only left the awning and last minute things, lucky we did as it poured from that night on.
We are now on holidays, well they say a change is as good as a holiday, so during the break I am doing some carpentry work for family and friends.
We plan to spend Christmas with family, so there may not be a post next week.
Have a safe and Happy Christmas and an adventuress New Year.

HINT OF THE WEEK
Keep 3 seconds between you and the vehicle in front. When the vehicle in front goes past a sign post or some mark on the road, just count 21, 22, 23 and your vehical should be at the mark where you started counting.

Enjoying the Experience

We are now into our 7th week of "Living the Dream". We have added more home comforts to the annex, such as rubber mats that interlock so our belongs stay high and dry.
The light on the outside of the van was to dull at night so we have a 2 x 1 meter lengths of LED lights that our son now sells, these is just great, we can sit outside in the annex as if we had another room.
We now have lockable jerry can holders on the A frame, and extra pvc pipe to store our tent poles.
Rain has slowed us down we have discovered some design faults with this van.
In Gladstone there are a lot of roundabouts and I think this contributes to keeping the traffic flowing.

So till next time, Wishing everyone Very Merry Christmas and a safe a happy New Year.
Happy travelling from the Happy Wanderers.

HINT OF THE WEEK

Never assume that drivers on roundabouts know what they are doing or going to do what their indicators say.

The Start of the Journey

We are on the road, and loving it. We have meet and made so many new friends, all willing to help and advise on how to make your journey more enjoyable.
Work is in abundance, so much so that I have to say no to some weekend work.
In due time we will put up photos of the smaller, interesting, unknown places that we have visited.
HINT FOR THE WEEK
Take your caravan/motorhome on a lot of short trips and make any ajustments at home, it is a lot easier than trying to improve your van while you are travelling. As we have learnt from experience.
